Since the beginning of time, various countries have been drawn to Indonesia because of its natural resources. Indonesia is blessed with the potential for very high mineral reserves, as well as year-round sunshine, vast tropical forests with all the riches they contain, a climate suitable for commercial plantations, the fourth-largest population in the world, and a strategic location at the crossroads of international trade traffic.
All of these characteristics of Indonesia also gave rise to conflicts over trade hegemony hundreds of years ago, particularly over the trade of spices between nations like the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and England. These conflicts lasted for hundreds of years and left behind dark traces of colonialism.
Moving past this troubling past, we wish to improve the quality of life for the almost 30% of Indonesians who still depend on agriculture for a living by exporting the greatest Indonesian spices to the globe. More than 30,000 different plant species may be found in Indonesia, some of which are known and used as spices. The principal exports from Indonesia include cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and others.
Since our establishment in 2012, PT Mutiara Hasana Indonesia has recognized Indonesia’s enormous potential as the world’s leading producer of coconuts. With this insight, we set out on a journey to share the abundance of Indonesia’s agricultural wealth with the world by exporting a variety of high-quality coconut derivative products. Our product range includes cocopeat (a natural by-product used as a growing medium), cocofiber (a versatile material used for mattresses, brushes, and erosion control), and many other coconut-based commodities. By 2012, driven by our passion to expand, we embarked on a new chapter by venturing into the export of herbs and spices, tapping into Indonesia’s legacy as a source of world-renowned spices. We now proudly export a diverse selection of premium-quality spices such as cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper to various countries across the globe.
Our mission goes beyond commerce; it is about sharing Indonesia’s rich natural heritage, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and contributing to the global supply chain of natural products. As we grow, we remain committed to quality, integrity, and innovation, ensuring that our products meet international standards while preserving the essence of Indonesia’s agricultural treasures.
